Billy Hudson, a beef farmer from Redwood, was recently awarded the 2015 Clean Water Farm Award from the Blue Ridge Soil & Water Conservation District for his extensive efforts to improve soil health and water quality. Hudson successfully manages a beef operation, consisting of 60 head of cattle on 70 acres of pasture, 75 acres of hay land and 122 acres of cropland.
